UX Design Talks

by Anne and Asyha

We decided to do a podcast on UX design. Our first episode educated listeners on what UX design is and the important tools and skills that are needed as a UX designer. We also explained the UX design process and the importance of it to create functional designs for websites and applications. During our second episode, we made sure to discuss some real-life design fails that we both came up with and provided our reasoning why. We also gave our personal suggestions on how the applications can be improved with their UX designs. We came up with our content by meeting with each other and discussing our own personal ideas and then deciding what ideas we liked the best. Since we are both InformationScience students, we are in the same classes and are learning all about UX design in our User-Centered Design class. This made it easy for us to be on the same page and understand eachother’’s ideas. We decided it was best to start the podcast by giving a rundown on UX design and its importance of it when creating an application. We had a lot of fun when creating the podcast. We are both interested in UX design and it was great being able to apply the content we learn in our classes in a different way. It was nice being able to record the podcast remotely with Zoom so we didn’t need to worry about needing to schedule and meet in person. We both had a wonderful experience and time working on a project that was different than what we both had ever done. We are really proud and can’t wait for everyone to hear it!
