With the expansion of technology in every sector of our lives, our future is getting more and more dependent on machines than ever. Artificial Intelligence is a growing field that is now being incorporated into our daily lives. AI has played a huge role in helping people work together with many technological innovations and much greater things within these couple of years. From Alexa, Siri, and more; to self-driving cars and autopilot in planes; to face recognition in smartphones and electronic payments; to GPS and many more people use AI.

Our scholars use Google Cloud Dialogflow to build an AI chatbot based on a famous, deceased person in STEM that we can perform a Q & A with. i.e., we ask the famous STEM person questions that they answer in the form of the chatbot.

In the real world, being able to create content that is short, informative, persuasive, and attention-grabbing is an important non-technical skill you must cultivate. In this project, Nvolve scholars create a micro-podcast on a STEM topic of your choice.

The COVID-19 pandemic continues to have a significant impact on all aspects of our lives.

Our scholar teams design and code web-based surveys and analyze the findings, all focused on the ongoing impact of COVID-19 on public health and clinical research. These projects give our scholars hands-on experience both in running team projects and learning more about clinical trials.

Scientists and physicians prepare for commencing clinical work by researching on databases. In this project, Nvolve Scholars leverage scientific literature and publicly available molecular databases to investigate biomarkers linked to breast cancer disease and to obtain the preparatory research skills needed for clinical or laboratory work. Biomarkers are biological molecules integral to understanding patients’ health, making treatment decisions, and the drug development process.

Data visualization is the practice of translating information into visual context. There’s a huge gap between the volume of data that gets generated and the understanding we have of it. This wealth of data, coupled with the proliferation of tools that democratize interrogating large datasets, opens up countless opportunities to uncover insights that were not possible before. Nvolve scholars create data visualization dashboards using Tableau Public to develop the skill of leveraging and interpreting data while supporting a hypothesis.
